Stolen Harvest: The Hijacking of the Global Food Supply

I'd rather be accused of righteous indignation

than be satisfied with this and fall into sedation.

And when I grow old, I hope to have as many wrinkles as I can.

One day I hope to have a son

And I hope on that day my bread is won.

Me, a renaissance man, teaching him the ways of the world.

Ominous and amorous, gritty and glamorous

In your company. Oh.

That's where I'll be.

In ecstacy. oh.

That's where you put me.

You have airplane wings

and eyes for the sky

We're entangled in each other

And I am that guy

that knows how and where you want it.

Siren, sing your melody.

As I kiss you tip to toe and diagonally.

Unbutton every inhibition that you wear

Just giving us the heat that I now share with you

In your company. oh.

That's where I will be.

In ecstasy.  oh.

That's where we'll be.

saw a penny laying heads up on the floor

decided to leave it down

somebody could've superglooed it as a joke

bored, just foolin' around

thoughts caught up in a sketch I drew

just to see if I still knew how

can't tell you a thing about the weather tomorrow

but i know it's winter now.

fading colors made the white shirt i now wear

the stories get old till you just don't care

forge your own signature, dropping the loop

take a little nibble from every food group

as we're walking two by two

waking up with someone new

out in the backyard, sweetened with dew

I will pleasure you.

Forego the blankets and pillows and bed

And all of the words that can go unsaid

a drizzle is just a few drops on the head

but, girl, i'm such a high-pressured downpour

you'll wish we were wed.

Oo

Well, I look down at the hole I'm in

Trapped by a bar and a bottle of gin

Light a dripping candle as the embers dim

And chase a unicorn.

Build a dank mastaba like a pharoah's tomb

Be a liberator, drop yesterday's womb and

make a seat for two when there ain't no room

and watch the stars magnify in a red sky.

Drop it and get over to the second line

a flock of white handerchiefs set in rhyme

Crawfish season's far away

And I'm thinking about that lazy old Fly today.

Hold a feature film premiere out your front door

Be the middle man with something more

To give and to take, slap me and I'll wake

for a Wake and Bake

a cup of milky water

dipped it in the gutter

do you think it safe to drink

got warm while i took the time to think

a lost garden, fountain for the young

Red flowers, tropical dew, and dung

a live oak with high roots swirlin

climb in a wooden cave, pretend i'm merlin

O o

send me a letter. it's nice to get mail.

O o

call me old-fashioned. but dont call me stale.

well i'll dig out the music

and speak on the air

the late night shift

listen all who are there

black and white

a waiter's attire

a studio stalemate.

time to retire till i have to be awake again.
